SnowFall

The SnowFall screen saver displays a shower of snowflakes that drift across your monitor.
Configuration options are available that can be used to change the way the screen saver looks to suit your own preferences.
The snowflake images are taken from the collection of images photographed by Wilson A. Bentley, and very beautiful they are too. The screen saver itself is based on the Snowfall screen saver for the Mac.
New in SnowFall v1.1:
Added a new “Quality” configuration option. Setting this to “medium” or “low” will reduce the quality of the snowflake textures. This makes them appear very slightly more blurry, but makes it much quicker to draw them, so you can increase the number of snowflakes on screen before they start to slow down.
Increase the maximum number of snow flakes from 250 to 1000.
